The Cobblestone or Ferry Farm - Known during the civil war as a station on the so called underground railway. The trail of slaves to Canada was broken by bringing them across the lake from Union Springs which was an ardent abolition Quaker village. Mentioned in Arch Merrill's The Underground pp. 134. This too was the landing place of an Indian canoe ferry and of the first white man's ferry. Historical marker transcription next and see image in photographs below.

This much-storied house at 2523 Lower Lake Road, Seneca Falls, west side, was a stop on the Underground Railroad. It was built in 1830 by Julius Bull and named the "Ferry Farm," near the site of the first ferry across Cayuga Lake. It is a symmetrical four-bay house of Federal style architecture and has a spectacular view of Cayuga Lake. Richard Palmer blog.
